Hey guys, we're The Inadequates! We're huge fans of yours, and are super stoked you're coming to town, even if you're not coming to Brisbane this time...

Not sure how you're handling support slots, but we'd love to throw our hat in the ring if you're looking for any local bands to play for the shows. We think we'd be a great fit and really compliment your sound/look, and we threw this page together to show you why.

So who are we?
We're three lads who have been writing and playing together since 2017. Over the years, we’ve often been compared to you guys for our left-of-centre songwriting and fashion choices. We started out busking, wearing crazy suits to help draw attention, and straight away we had people saying we looked like "a new Split Enz". This led us to your music, and we've been massive fans ever since.

We recently released an album, and for our tour we bought an embroidery machine, then designed and made our own suits featuring native Australian flora and fauna. We were super inspired by how you guys used to update your look for each tour and wanted to replicate that (see pic above). We know you'll understand how difficult this was lol, it nearly killed us.

We have a pretty unique sound, as we're really into trying to push the boundaries and break the mould of traditional acoustic music. We pretty much try to replicate a high energy rock sound on acoustic instruments, but we also like our songs to be surprising or unorthodox in some way. We really feel like our sound would complement your shows, and if you're interested we've embedded the Spotify link to our album above.

 

We're available for all your Australian shows, but even a single date would be a dream come true for us. We've also put one of our music videos below, and some snippets of a live performance from late last year if you're interested.
